FOWLER, CA - To further encourage families and children to eat healthier, Bee Sweet Citrus has announced a partnership with Produce for Kids by joining the Power Your Lunchbox Pledge.

“Bee Sweet Citrus is very excited to see how the Power Your Lunchbox Pledge will encourage families to incorporate healthy food into their meals,” said Bee Sweet Citrus' Director of Communications, Monique Bienvenue. “For the past year, we’ve encouraged families to incorporate citrus into their diets as part of our #EatMoreCitrus campaign, so this initiative is right up our alley.” 

In its own addition to the campaign, according to a press release, Bee Sweet Citrus will incorporate the Power Your Lunchbox logo on all social media platforms, as well as on certain product packaging. 

As a supplement to the pledge, Produce for Kids will also market healthy meals and tips on its website and social media platforms. Participants in the campaign are also encouraged to use the #PowerYourLunchbox hashtag throughout the timeframe to help share ideas and awareness on social media. 

“Last year, Produce for Kids did an amazing job of sharing healthy tips and recipes with families, teachers and students,” continued Bienvenue. “In addition, their website did a wonderful job of providing supplemental material for families and educators who want more information on improving healthy habits at home and in the classroom. Overall, Bee Sweet Citrus is very excited to take part in such an amazing, health-oriented project.”

The campaign will run from August 8 through September 23, and will encouraging families to take an online pledge to support healthy eating. The sponsors of the Power Your Lunchbox Campaign will make a collective $1 donation to the Feeding America programs for families and children for every pledge taken on the campaign.
