OXNARD, CA - Mission Produce has cracked the code on preparing for any and all avocado yields with an all-new practical tool. Unveiled this week, the Size Interchangeability Chart is an extension of Mission Produce’s AvocaDOs and DON’Ts guide and in-line with the company’s efforts to help its foodservice partners manage the avocado category.

“Because fruit sizing varies throughout the year, we created a solution on how to order and prepare avocados based on our customers’ needs,” said Foodservice Sales Manager Bryan Garibay. “By using the Size Interchangeability Chart in conjunction with utilizing what the trees are producing, our customers will mitigate potential supply challenges while saving money on food cost."

Presented in a way that is stylishly simple, the Size Interchangeability chart will help Mission Produce’s partners predict the yield for different avocado sizes, enabling greater flexibility based on inventory and tree production, according to a press release. These findings are then reported in a visually-pleasing way to foodservice operators, who can then switch fruit sizes with ease.

“As avocados appear on more menus, we wanted to provide our foodservice customers with an additional tool to serve the finest avocados,” said Director of Marketing Denise Junqueiro.
