GRAND FORKS, ND - A familiar face is making its appearance at a new company as produce industry veteran Mary Coppola Heslep has landed at Ten Acre Marketing. Following her departure from her marketing role at United Fresh Produce Association, Coppola will now be serving as Ten Acre’s Senior Vice President, Creative to help expand the company’s marketing prowess. Additionally, the marketing maven has also tapped Katie Rehder as a new Graphic Designer.
“After years of collaborating with marketing professionals in the industry, I’m looking forward to taking my knowledge of fresh produce needs and challenges and bringing a strategic approach to creative execution of fresh produce marketing opportunities that connect with consumers, customers, and partners alike,” said Coppola Heslep. “I’ve worked for many years with Leah helping her position Ten Acre Marketing through United Fresh membership. I’ll now be hands-on, growing Ten Acre Marketing and our client’s businesses through marketing.”
Prior to taking on this new role, Coppola Heslep served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at United Fresh for the past seven years, according to a press release. During her tenure with the association, she played a key role in the strategic direction of the organization as it worked to advance its members.
Additionally, Coppola Heslep helped create BrandStorm™, one of the produce industry’s only annual marketing events, helping produce marketers to expand their acumen while understanding industry trends to grow produce consumption through marketing. She also aided in successfully implementing one of fresh produce’s first virtual trade shows and continues to advance virtual education offerings throughout the industry.
In her new role at Ten Acre Marketing, Coppola Heslep will take an innovative approach to drive forward strategic creative deliverables, while utilizing her experience, network, and creativity to elevate the company.
Founder and CEO, Leah Halverson shared her thoughts on the recent appointment of Coppola Heslep.
“I have been fortunate enough to work with Mary for the past several years, as a United Fresh member and volunteer leader on the Produce Marketing & Merchandising Council. I’ve always admired the way she puts the brand first and is such an advocate for creative thinking, leveraging trends, and finding new ways to tell a brand story,” she said. “She’ll be an essential leader on our team, delivering quality, creative marketing solutions to our clients.”
Joining Coppola Heslep in a new role at Ten Acre Marketing is Katie Rehder who will step in as a Graphic Designer.
She brings with her over five years of experience in the marketing industry, recently planning and executing events and marketing campaigns for Grand Forks Downtown Development Association.
In her new position, Rehder will work with the Ten Acre Marketing account team, creative team, and its clients to execute creative assets and materials.
Halverson went on to comment on the talents that Rehder will bring to the Ten Acre’s team.
“Having a talented graphic designer with experience, passion, and a unique eye for design in-house ensures the best possible results for our clients. Katie brings all of that to the table and more. I’m eager to see what this creative team brings to our client roster and the agricultural industry,” she added.
Congratulations to both Mary Coppola Heslep and Katie Rehder as they step into these new roles!
