USDA Appoints New Board Members to the National Mango Board



ORLANDO, FL - Agriculture Secretary Sonny Purdue has appointed six members to serve the National Mango Board (NMB). The appointees include three new members and three returning members. Appointees will serve three-year terms beginning January 1, 2019 and ending on December 31, 2021.

The newly appointed board members include importer Clark Golden of Vineland, NJ; domestic producer Evelyn Sapp of Lehigh Acres, FL; and foreign producer Rodrigo Diaz of Culiacan, Mexico. Also appointed are importer Michael B. Warren of Pompano Beach, FL; first-handler Patrick Dueire of Gloucester City, NJ; and foreign producer Jacquie Abuhayar Hanze of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Mr. Warren, Mr. Dueire, and Ms. Abuhayar are each returning to the board to serve a second consecutive term.

The NMB thanks those members who are completing their term on the board for their service to the mango industry. They are: Susan Underwood of Saint Petersburg, FL; Tomás Paulin Quezada of Colima, Mexico; and Veny L. Marti of Carolina, Puerto Rico.
