Amazon recently announced its plan to open two new fulfillment centers and a delivery station in San Antonio, Texas

The company is also planning a new delivery station, located at 8210 Aviation Landing, San Antonio, Texas, to be completed in 2021. Inside the 350,000-square-foot building, Amazon associates will play a key role in the retailer’s process, sorting packages and loading them onto vehicles for delivery. The launch of the delivery station will lead to hundreds of new job opportunities in the San Antonio Area.

In the past 10 years, Amazon has invested over $16.9 billion and created more than 43,000 jobs in the state. In continuation of its commitment to growth and supporting its employees, the retailer recently pledged to invest upwards of $700 million into training for U.S. employees for in-demand jobs, helping the team members at Amazon excel into highly skilled roles within the company.

Although it is still unknown how this expansion could tie into the retailer's commitment to fresh produce and its success in the grocery sector, AndNowUKnow will continue to report.

One thing is for sure, Amazon has once again created new growth opportunities not only for itself, but for others as well.
