ORLANDO, FL - There are many ways to make an impact on this industry, and stepping onto the stage at an industry event is certainly one of them. Connect 2 Potential’s Leadership Coach Wendy McManus took the mic at this year’s Women’s Fresh Perspectives Conference (WFPC), delivering her talk titled “Get on the Same Page: How to shape your culture collaboratively from any seat in the organization” at the event’s opening general session.

“The concepts I teach in my ‘Get on the Same Page’ keynote are quite simple, but they’re not always easy to practice in our busy day-to-day lives,” McManus stated. “My goal was to inspire those in the audience to prioritize the practice of making and keeping agreements to get on the same page with others in their professional and personal relationships.”

Hosted by the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), the WFPC attracted roughly 175 produce and floral industry professionals.

“We were excited to have Wendy McManus opening the conference on Sunday! We knew that first session would set the stage for an immersive learning experience that provided takeaways to inspire and motivate attendees to further develop their leadership potential,” stated Megan Nash, Director, Education and Talent at IFPA. “We had a wonderful line-up of speakers, confirming why WFPC is such a popular event. I’m happy to see it’s found a home on the IFPA calendar, and we’ve already scheduled the next women’s conference for April 16 to 19, 2023 in Orlando.”

Nash continued, noting the importance of McManus’ successful session, “She is very connected with the women in our industry, and her commitment to cultivating their potential shows! Her customized content ties directly into the needs of our audience, and her sessions have become a highlight for those in attendance.”

With WFPC 2023 already on the books, McManus highlights this outstanding opportunity for women in the industry to gather in a supportive and immersive learning environment.

“WFPC brings together women from all stages of their careers and all facets of the produce and floral supply chains,” she said. “It’s the perfect backdrop for creating lasting relationships, and that’s what I most appreciate about this event.”

According to a press release, many in attendance benefitted from McManus’ session.
