Love Beets Launches Resealable Packaging

ROCHESTER, NY - Love Beets is loving a new look these days, as the company re-launches its line of marinated baby beets and other beet items with new resealable packaging. While strategically appealing to those looking for convenience, the company’s move doubles shelf-life for the ready-to-eat beet products.

George Shropshire, General Manager, Love Beets“Our new 36-day shelf-life makes our products more appealing to retailers because it allows for wider distribution, the ability to carry more items at one time, and will greatly reduce shrink,” said General Manager George Shropshire. “It also allows more time for the consumer to enjoy his or her beets once they get them home. It’s a big win in so many ways.”

With a 36-day-shelf-life, up from the previous 18-day-shelf-life, the new redesign offers improved value for retailers as of the company’s effective date, March 12th. With this boosting shelf-life packaging, coast-to-coast distribution has no bearing on quality or integrity of the products.

Daniel Cross, Managing Director, Love Beets“Through product innovations and using equipment and facilities in a new way, we have managed to ensure that our marinated baby beets stay fresh for twice as long without the need to add any preservatives or additives,” said Managing Director Daniel Cross.

The extended shelf-life is attractive to retailers, but arguably more enticing is the resealable packaging that consumers will be sure to enjoy.

“We’re so excited to launch our new ‘peel and reseal’ packaging because it’s something we’ve been working towards for a long time,” said Shropshire. “We knew it would enhance the convenience factor of our products even more for the consumer, and consumer experience is of the utmost importance to us as a company.”

Another exciting aspect of this packaging shift is the easy, on-the-go snacking opportunities it invites into your daily happenings, making beets a more regular snacking option.

“You simply peel back the label, take out how many beets you want, press the label back down, pop back in the fridge, and they’re ready and just as fresh for next time,” said Shropshire. “It’s great!”

The products using this new form of packaging include the following:

  • The line of marinated baby beets: Organic Mild Vinegar, Mild Vinegar, White Wine & Balsamic, Honey & Ginger, and Sweet Chili
  • Sweet & Smoky shredded beets
  • Diced Honey + Vinegar Golden Beets
  • Beet Salsa, though this item does not include the 36-day shelf-life

The packaging redesign is available in most major retailers and specialty shops throughout North America.
