GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Mark your calendars for April 28, because two new Meijer facilities are preparing to open their doors. The retailer is expanding its footprint in Northeast Ohio, announcing the upcoming opening of two new supercenters.
“It’s extremely exciting to continue expanding our presence in Northeast Ohio,” said Tom Wilson, Regional Vice President. “Over the last two years, our store teams have helped families meet unprecedented challenges by providing fresh grocery options and supporting their pharmacy needs. Now, we’re gearing up to bring our one-stop shopping experience to new communities in Brunswick and Canton.”
According to a press release, the supercenters will feature special promotions and events following opening day. The locations will feature grocery, fresh produce, a floral area, and much more. More details regarding the new supercenters will reportedly be confirmed prior to opening day.
Most recently, Meijer built a total of seven supercenters in the Greater Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown, OH, areas. The new Fairfax Market mixed-use project also broke ground in December 2021. Additionally, the retailer maintains a distribution center in Tipp City, employing more than 12,000 team members statewide.
