Snap Kitchen Partners With Whole Foods for Ready-To-Eat Meal Line

AUSTIN, TX - As Whole Foods continues to bolster its health-forward brand, the retailer continues to forge new partnerships with innovative food suppliers, like celebrity-backed meal kits, and most recently, Snap Kitchen. An omnichannel maker of dietitian-curated meals, Snap Kitchen has teamed up with the retailer to sell its ready-to-eat meals in select Whole Foods stores.

Jon Carter, CEO, Snap Kitchen"Whole Foods Market was an early pioneer in changing the way consumers look at real food, mindful eating, and healthy living," said Jon Carter, CEO at Snap Kitchen. "Similarly, our mission has always been to help improve the lives of others by making it easy to eat healthy, delicious meals made from well-sourced ingredients, with options to meet a variety of lifestyles and nutrition goals."

Available now in six Whole Foods locations in Austin, Texas, Snap Kitchen’s new line features 35 fresh prepared meals and drinks, including plant-based options and seafood-based options to appeal to consumers with dietary restraints, like vegetarians or pescatarians. Each meal is gluten-free and is color-coded by lifestyle categories that include vegan, paleo, keto, and Whole30® diets.

Jessica Johnson, Regional Vice President of the Southwest region, Whole Foods Market"We understand people are busier than ever these days, and we're excited to offer a new healthy line of ready-to-eat meal options that meet our high quality standards and meet the need of our customers," said Jessica Johnson, Regional Vice President of the Southwest region at Whole Foods Market, in a press release.

Snap Kitchen provides options for every meal of the day, including my personal favorite, breakfast. Flavorful and creative breakfast offerings include banana pancakes, quinoa chorizo breakfast tacos, and a spinach and goat cheese frittata. The lunch and dinner options are similarly mouthwatering, with meals like sweet chili glazed Atlantic salmon, creamy mushroom fusilli, umami grain bowl, and the classic veggie burger. Shoppers can also try out a range of benefit-driven juices, smoothies, protein shakes, and Glow Collagen Water.

The new line of meals were created with health benefits in mind, and each one balances leafy greens and veggies, healthy fats, and high-quality proteins essential for brain, gut, and muscle health. Snap Kitchen uses only premium ingredients that promote optimal health and reduce the risk of disease. Customers can be assured that each meal is made fresh daily; is never frozen; and contains no gluten, antibiotics, added hormones, or artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors. The meals even come in compostable containers with recyclable lids to reduce waste.

With 33 retail stores across Texas and Philadelphia, Snap Kitchen has kept busy, launching its e-commerce platform and highly-regarded iOS app in 2016, along with a subscription meal plan program. The company extended its national reach in 2019, offering direct shipping to 80 million more households across 15 states and urban markets including New York, DC, San Antonio, New Jersey, Baltimore, Oklahoma City, and Pittsburgh.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to partner with such an iconic name that is essentially synonymous with healthy living and eating," added Carter. "This is a unique opportunity to grow Snap Kitchen's retail footprint on a significant scale and also introduce our nutrient-packed meals to a new set of health-conscious shoppers seeking a happy, healthy lifestyle."
