Sprouts Farmers Market Holds Hiring Fair
PHOENIX, AZ - As consumer preferences continue to shift toward health-conscious and organic foods, Sprouts Farmers Market has seen significant opportunities for growth. This year alone, the grocer has expanded its presence in Virginia, Florida, California, New Jersey, and Arizona. Now, the retailer is investing in expanding its own workforce, announcing a National Hiring Day event across nearly all of its 340 stores throughout the country. The event is set to take place on Tuesday, December 17, and approximately 1,000 part- and full-time, non-seasonal positions are available to potential candidates.
“Our knowledgeable team members are instrumental as Sprouts expands healthy food access to communities from coast to coast,” said Timmi Zalatoris, VP of Human Resources. “These non-seasonal positions across the store offer a great opportunity to learn and grow a career.”
Available positions and departments include:
- Department Managers and Assistant Department Managers in Produce, Grocery, and more
- Courtesy Clerks
- Backup Receivers and Scan Coordinators
Interviews will be held at Sprouts locations between 9 am and 7 pm on the 17th, and the entire event fits in with the retailer’s continued growth and expansion of its workforce. According to a press release, the grocer created 3,500 new jobs in 2018 and promoted 28 percent of its store team members.
Sprouts seeks to provide its team members with competitive pay, discounts, opportunities for professional growth, and a fun and rewarding work culture. To further demonstrate its commitment to its employees, since 2009, Sprouts has awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to its team members and dependents, and through its employee discounts team members saved a reported $12 million.
