LAS VEGAS, NV - In today’s day and age, we’re all about industry connection no matter the medium. One such retailer is none other than Walmart, whose very own Senior Director of Agriculture Strategy Development, Victor Verlage, is joining United Fresh’s webinar panel line-up to discuss the future of indoor ag.

Verlage has spearheaded the development of next generation produce since he joined Walmart in 2010. He is notably known for securing the long-term food supply for Walmart’s growth demand plans, as explained in a press release.

During this debut session, which will begin on June 3 at 4 p.m. EST, Verlage will be joined by fellow speakers Alex DiNovo, President and COO of DNO Produce, and Paul Lightfoot, President and Founder of BrightFarms. The session itself is titled “United Fresh Produce Association Panel: Produce Trends & Business Opportunities For Indoor Growers Emerging From COVID-19 Pandemic.” Tom Stenzel, President and CEO of United Fresh Produce Association, will moderate.

During the webinar, the speakers will be asked to explore the challenges that our industry faces today. Attendees will get an inside look at key produce trends, tips for building mutually beneficial relationships with produce distributors, how COVID-19 is accelerating demand for fresh, and what indoor growers are doing now to adjust to a changing market.
