Bay Baby Produce Welcomes Meghan McKnight as New Operationally Focused Human Resources Manager
MOUNT VERNON, MA - Bay Baby Produce is thrilled to announce the addition of Meghan McKnight as the company’s new Human Resources Manager. With a diverse background in both HR and operations, Meghan brings a unique perspective and a deep passion for people-first leadership.

Meghan’s career began in public service, where she developed a mission-driven approach to supporting others. “When I moved to HR, I defined my role as serving those who serve,” she explains. “As I progressed, my purpose became to structurally improve organizations so everyone has the opportunity to do their best in their role.”
Although agriculture is a new industry for Meghan, she was drawn to Bay Baby Produce because of the team’s shared commitment to continuous improvement and community support. “The people here are dedicated to each other and to evolving the business, which strongly aligns with my values,” she says.

With experience in hiring, training, safety, and employee relations, Meghan has worked across a range of industries and thrives in fast-paced, seasonal environments. Her background in both HR and operations allows her to quickly assess needs and implement systems that scale efficiently while maintaining a strong workplace culture. “My role is to support folks in doing their best work. Understanding operations—both goals and challenges—is essential to doing that well.”
When it comes to workplace culture, Meghan prioritizes transparency and accountability. “Clarity is kindness, and kindness matters,” she shares. “Too often we mistake niceness for kindness and shy away from honest conversations. A culture of shared accountability and clear expectations helps teams thrive—even during challenging times.”
As Bay Baby gears up for its busy season, Meghan is focused on cultivating calm and keeping teams connected. In her first year, Meghan is excited to continue the Company’s push for automation in administrative processes, freeing up more time to focus on what matters most: people.
“We’re always looking for ways to enhance our person-centered approach. As I learn more about the operations and workforce, I look forward to helping plan and shape our strategic growth.”

And if you’re wondering where her drive comes from—it started early. “When I turned 15, I went through the Yellow Pages and cold-called every business in my small town until someone hired me,” she laughs. “That job changed my life—and that’s how I approach HR. A job can be transformative.”
Bay Baby Produce is excited to welcome Meghan McKnight and looks forward to the impact she will bring to the team and company culture.
