PORTLAND, OR - With certifications serving as an informative way for buyers to ensure standards are being met, GLOBALG.A.P. North America is putting in the work to increase market recognition and acceptance of its products and services. As part of its strategy, the organization announced Jane Bi as its new Buyer Relations Manager.

“I’m thrilled to join the passionate and diverse GLOBALG.A.P. team with its wealth of expertise in bringing good agricultural practices into reality,” said Bi. “I look forward to helping connect certified responsible farmers and buyers to achieve the shared goal of delivering safe food to global consumers.”

In her new role, Bi will advocate for farmers who supply GLOBALG.A.P.-certified responsible food to the global marketplace. According to a release, as the pandemic posed new challenges for the food system and supply chains, Bi would like to continue supporting buyers in overcoming lingering challenges by utilizing the company’s solutions.

Prior to joining GLOBALG.A.P. North America, Bi worked for a decade advocating for responsible seafood production and certified responsible seafood producers in the marketplace. She has a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Intercultural Communication.
