Mastronardi Produce® Julia Shreve Discusses Queen of Greens Launch

LEAMINGTON, ON - Mother Nature has a wild sister with plans to shake up the greens category, and I had the chance for a front row seat to the spin she’s bringing. Julia Shreve, Director of Marketing - Brand and Innovation, Mastronardi Produce®, took the time to chat with me about the company’s newest brand, Queen of Greens, the face of its new hydroponically-grown lettuce venture.

So, right off the bat, you are eliminating risk that is related to soil contamination. Secondly, with our growing system, nobody is touching this lettuce from seeding to packing,” Julia explained to me as we discussed how Mastronardi approached bringing its legacy of innovation to the most common concerns of the leafy greens category.

Not only is the company making a branding and category debut, it is doing so with a full-fledged line of four different options that fall into the same attention-grabbing creativity as any other lineup in the company’s portfolio.
