Novipax Highlighted on EARTH with John Holden; Keith Schroeder Comments
OAK BROOK, IL - Lights, camera, action! This is likely what absorbent manufacturer Novipax heard as the company stepped into the spotlight for an appearance on the well-known television series, EARTH with John Holden. Set to air on several major networks starting December 19, 2021, and into early January 2022, the program showcases the company’s innovative measures to help in the fight against food waste.
“Our mission is to provide innovative, high-performing absorbents that extend product shelf-life and thus reduce food waste,” Keith Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer of Novipax, noted. “We are thankful that EARTH with John Holden recognizes the positive impact that Novipax continues to have on lowering food waste across North America.”
Novipax is known for its food safety absorbents that help to maintain freshness, reduce waste, and improve consumer satisfaction, as stated in a press release. The solutions provider’s Dri-Loc®XtendaPak works to extend the shelf-life of products such as fresh produce, meat, poultry, and seafood by lowering bacteria levels in the package. In turn, this mitigates food waste by increasing the window of time that retailers can merchandise products and the time that shoppers can keep items stored at home before spoiling.
“A major problem in America is food waste…the average American household wastes almost one-third of the food they purchase,” commented Holden. After traveling to Grenada, Mississippi, to visit one of Novipax’s four manufacturing facilities as well as its state-of-the-art innovation center, he also noted, “…the food preservation technology happening right here is helping to change that.”
Currently, Novipax has thousands of end users, including supermarkets, fresh produce processors, and protein processors. By placing Novipax’s Dri-Loc XtendaPaks inside of their packages, they are actively working to fight against food waste while increasing sustainability.
“We continue to pursue products that are manufactured with sustainable components,” added Schroeder. “As an example, the highly absorbent fluff core inside our food safety pads is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) certified suppliers. Additionally, our Dri-LocÒ Terra is the first fully compostable food pad that is manufactured with 100 percent renewable materials. Think of Novipax as preserving the environment one package at a time.”
The company’s feature on Holden’s show will air on Business Network on December 19, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. EST; Bloomberg TV on December 26, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. and January 2, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. EST; and BNN Bloomberg on December 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. EST.
