Produce for Better Health Foundation Unveils 2021 National Fruits and Veggies Month Toolkit; Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak and Katie Calligaro Discuss

BRENTWOOD, MO - Growing up, my mom always used to tell me that good things come in threes, which by that reasoning, I would be willing to bet that The Produce for Better Health Foundation’s (PBH) third annual National Fruits & Veggies Month celebration is going to be a success—especially since the organization recently unveiled a new toolkit to accompany the event.

After the popularity of its dynamic online National Fruits and Veggies Month Toolkit last year filled with resources for industry partners to spread the word about PBH’s Have A Plant® movement, the organization debuted its 2021 version to create buzz around the month-long celebration.

Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak, MS, RDN, President and Chief Executive Officer, Produce for Better Health Foundation“September is a pivotal moment to raise awareness of the benefits of eating more fruits and vegetables as part of diversified, balanced, and healthy habits, while also drawing attention to reducing loss and waste,” said Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak, MS, RDN, President and CEO. “The 2021 National Fruits & Veggies Month Toolkit makes it easy for all plant-passionate advocates to join PBH in celebrating the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables, with globally-inspired turnkey resources, compelling social content, visually appealing creative assets, new research and more. There is power in numbers, and together, we can take the Have A Plant Movement worldwide and inspire millions of people to eat more fruits and veggies for healthier, happier lives.”

Commemorating National Fruits & Veggies Month this year, PBH is taking its Have A Plant Movement around the world, honoring the United Nations General Assembly designating 2021 the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables. According to a press release, four content themes will be spotlighted throughout September through the PBH digital ecosystem, generating excitement for fresh produce in every culture and on every continent.
