Naturipe Farms Reports Promotable Volumes of Mighty Blues; Jim Roberts Comments

SALINAS, CA - As we previously reported late last month, Naturipe Farms expanded its Mighty Blues availability to meet consumer demand. Dialing further into this program, the berry provider notes that the quality of these blueberries continues to shine and produce favorable results at retail.

Jim Roberts, President of Sales, Naturipe Farms“Our Mighty Blues are bursting with flavor, and shoppers will be clamoring to fill up on these healthy berries. We look forward to strong availability of our Mighty Blues,” says Jim Roberts, President of Sales at Naturipe. “We’re proud of these delicious berries that are not just big in size but also big with consumers.”

According to a release, Naturipe is expecting significant increases in the Mighty Blues label throughout this summer from the growing regions of the Pacific Northwest and Michigan throughout August. These volumes will be supplemented from Peruvian imports in late summer through the end of the year.

Naturipe noted that the significant increase in volume is due to increases from new proprietary varieties that have superior size, firmness, and flavor.

After expanding its Mighty Blues availability to meet consumer demand, Naturipe is continuing to produce favorable results at retail with its blueberries

Mighty Blues are available in a 9.8 oz clamshell, and are easily marketed as a snack, dessert addition, or a refreshing reprieve from the summer’s heat. The packs are hand-picked for retail, so store shelves are guaranteed to have jumbo berries in every package.

The company’s Globally Local™ program utilizes family growers from around the nation and the globe. This way, Naturipe is able to capitalize on multiple different growing regions.
