Sollum Technologies Introduces New Features for SUN as a Service® Cloud Platform; Louis Brun and Patrick Ménard Discuss

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC, CANADA - Software as a Service, or SaaS, may currently be a well-known model, but Sollum Technologies is working on making SUN as a Service®, or SUNaaS, the new SaaS as it unveiled new and upgraded features to the cloud platform.

Louis Brun, Chief Executive Officer, Sollum Technologies“The continuous improvement of our SUNaaS platform demonstrates Sollum’s ability to continue to shift the paradigm for horticultural lighting and provide growers all over the world with the precise lighting they need to increase and diversify their production,” said Sollum Chief Executive Officer Louis Brun. “I cannot wait to see how growers make use of SUNaaS to boost greenhouse cultivation and try previously impossible production practices.”

SaaS is a software licensing and delivery model in which software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted. With SUNaaS, the platform allows growers to connect an infinite number of LED fixtures. As noted in the release, the nerve center of the groundbreaking 100 percent programmable Sollum™ LED lighting solution gives greenhouse growers unparalleled, real-time, and remote control of their lighting and opens unprecedented production opportunities for the horticultural industry.
