CMI Orchards' Rochelle Bohm Discusses Global Produce & Floral Show Exhibition
WENATCHEE, WA - A few times each year, produce companies have the opportunity to showcase their products on a global scale. The International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce & Floral Show is one such opportunity, and it will be here before we know it. In the lead-up to the show, I got in touch with CMI Orchards’ Rochelle Bohm, Vice President of Marketing.
“This year, we have a lot we’re excited to show off! Along with the largest selection of high-flavor branded varieties, we’ll feature a number of our exciting, impactful programs that retailers can use to drive sales and create in-store excitement,” she began telling me. “Among these programs is Flavogram®, which educates customers, so they can feel confident spending a little extra to try a new flavor or variety.”
In addition, CMI’s Kanzi® themed activation station, which will be located in the outdoor pavilion of the show, features a new brand refresh and will be available to visit.
“The new artwork highlights the fresh, bold flavor of Kanzi apples with a high-impact splash graphic that aligns with the success of the global brand and speaks to the brand’s message, which is to invigorate your life. Any time you think you can’t handle what life dishes up, this apple says Yes You Kanzi®!” Rochelle continued.
CMI will also be unveiling its new brand look for KIKU®, which celebrates KIKU’s beautiful origin story and supreme sweetness by tying in all aspects of the fruit’s story into the design.
Rochelle added why this show is the perfect opportunity to unveil these launches.
“It’s an amazing networking hub—it offers a vibrant networking space to forge valuable connections and facilitate partnerships that steer the industry forward,” she said. “It’s also the perfect place for brand amplification. The Global Produce & Floral Show has an excellent platform and global audience that members of the industry can use to enhance their market presence and customer engagement.”
According to Rochelle, CMI is most looking forward to getting the chance to network with industry peers, seeing what’s new, and shouting about all of the positive developments going on at CMI.
“We definitely want to put our innovation on display—both our innovative approach to farming as well as novel products that stem from meticulous research and development in apple, pear, and cherry cultivation. It’s also important that we spotlight our exceptional fruit, highlighting the premium quality brought about by dedicated, multi-generational orchardists who are experts in the field,” Rochelle told me.
The orchardists, Rochelle explained, are spectacularly knowledgeable about the fruit, so they’re able to play matchmaker by planting popular, profitable managed varieties in select microclimates. Tapping into these legacies that are ripe with knowledge allows our growers to bring the freshest, highest quality, most popular products to market.
“CMI Orchards is a one-stop shop for all retail needs, from the largest varietal selection in the market today to the cutting-edge innovations that help our retailers sell more fruit, and the high-graphic displays and packaging with promotions that retailers can use to drive in-store special events,” Rochelle concluded.
