Ahold USA has appointed Kathy Russello
Ahold USA has appointed Kathy Russello to the position of Executive Vice President of Human Resources, effective March 6, 2012. In her new role she will provide HR leadership for the company while watching over the Ahold USA HR support function, according to a press release. She will also be responsible for cultivating an environment for the associates that promotes both development and growth. Ms. Russello will be reporting to Carl Schlicker, Chief Operating Officer of Ahold USA.
The industry veteran brings over thirty years of Human Resource and supermarket retail expertise to her role. She began her career with Mayfair and joined Ahold in 1995. Carl Schlicker, COO of Ahold USA, states, “Kathy has been an accomplished HR leader for 30 years.” He continues, “She is passionate about the retail supermarket business and is a strong advocate for people, who are the heart of our business, and their ongoing development and growth.”
The HR organizations within Ahold USA including Stop & Shop New England, Stop & Shop New York Metro, Giant Carlisle and Giant Landover, will continue to run its Human Resources divisions.
