Bobalu Honored With Two Industry Awards; Cindy Jewell Comments
OXNARD, CA - Nothing quite showcases a multitude of achievements like a full trophy case. Honored for its industry innovations, Bobalu recently brought home two new accolades. Earlier this month, the berry maven was presented with a 2021 American Web Design Award for its new site. In addition, Bobalu was recognized in September at the Sustainable Produce Summit as the food waste category winner as part of the Best of SPS Marketing Awards.
“Receiving an award of any kind is an honor, and we greatly appreciate the recognition from both organizations,” says Cindy Jewell, Marketing for Bobalu. “The website award really serves as motivation to continue to broaden the scope of our site to build on brand awareness and provide valuable and timely resources to trading partners and consumers. Additionally, any recognition focused on sustainability is greatly appreciated as the company continues to expand in reducing waste and increasing efficiencies.”
The 2021 American Web Design Award, presented to Cindy Jewell from Graphic Design, USA, recognized Bobalu for a year of work to build and expand its new site to reflect the Bobalu brand, according to a press release.
At the Best of SPS Marketing Awards, Bobalu was also recognized for its efforts to reduce food waste, limiting the number of berries wasted during harvest.
As noted at the awards, each harvesting employee carries a bucket attached to their picking cart to capture every berry on the plant, and the fruit harvested each day is either placed into a clamshell for retail customers or placed in the bucket to ultimately be used as ingredients.
Taking home not one but two awards is surely something to celebrate, and we here at ANUK are tipping our hats to the team at Bobalu for their recent accomplishments.
