Mr Caratan adds, “We have assembled a team of experts with the goal of building the facility to preserve the shelf life and the nutritional value of the high quality grapes that Columbine Vineyards has produced for many generations.”

The project has the possibility of expanding to three phases with the first phase, slated to be completed by March 2014, consisting of building a new 204,200 square-foot concrete and steel structure with the capacity of 750,000 boxes. The final build-out would be a 428,000 square-foot structure and an ultimate capacity of 1.5 million boxes, the release states.
