Marketing Manager Alicia Blanco and VP of Sales Dan Canales of Misionero Vegetables join AndNowUKnow to discuss the company’s new and improved website along with its most recent initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance sustainability efforts.
Ms. Blanco highlights the company’s website updates, including improved navigation, which offers visitors easier access to company information about Misionero. A product video was added to the site, that features Sarah Hoxie at AndNowUKnow in the kitchen providing usage ideas about Misionero’s Garden Life washed and trimmed leaf lettuce. The site is constantly evolving and will feature updated videos. The site’s landing page also features a trade log-in where our retail and foodservice customers can obtain information, including a logo and sales sheet. Ms. Blanco is excited about the site’s updates to the landing page, including the addition of Misionero’s corporate brand and consumer brands.
Mr. Canales explains that the process began about two years ago, incorporating cartons, label designs, and new products. He realized that since Misionero has three distinct brands, the company needed to bring some consistency across the banners—with the corporate brand being Misionero; Garden Life, the conventional brand; and EarthGreens, the organic brand. The company went to great lengths to reduce its footprint in terms of sustainability, promote consistency across the locking system and the look and feel of the carton, and increase cartons per pallet to reduce cost to customers by optimizing freight.
