Naturipe Farms Reveals Early Peak and Ample Volume of Peruvian Import Blueberries; Brian Bocock and Lori Taylor Comment

SALINAS, CA - Shoppers everywhere are beginning to dust off their cookbooks and prepare their shopping lists for holiday shindigs, and Natruripe Farms has delicious blueberries to add to any recipe. As retailers look to stock their aisles with key, versatile ingredients, the berry purveyor has announced an early peak for its Peruvian import blueberries, giving extra time to display the gems on store shelves.

Brian Bocock, Vice President of Product Management, Naturipe Farms“We are grateful for an early and abundant crop this season in Peru,” said Brian Bocock, Vice President of Product Management. “The import berries we’re seeing are as fresh, firm, and flavorful as always. With the strong numbers we are producing, we are more than able to fulfill the high demand we expect."

Naturipe is reporting that Peruvian blueberries are peaking three weeks earlier than usual or expected this year. According to a press release, the early arrival of the berries hasn’t compromised their quality or volume, as the company has seen a more than 20 percent increase in supply from last year. Peruvian blueberries from this season are also showing the common larger size and firm quality that is typical from Naturipe.

Naturipe Farms is reporting an early peak for its Peruvian import blueberries as well as ample supply and good quality

Beginning October 10, Naturipe will have ample volumes of blueberries to promote, perfect for increased holiday demand. The berry grower will offer larger packs than the traditional pints, including 18 oz and 2 lb clamshells to keep produce departments stocked through this prime merchandising period.

Currently, Naturipe is also expecting to see high consumer demand for the category continue as blueberries offer immense health benefits, helping to keep consumers healthy as the pandemic continues, flu season arrives, and the holidays require extra energy for preparation.

Lori Taylor, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, The Produce Moms®“Berries are full of antioxidants, including Vitamin C and have anti-inflammatory compounds” explained Lori Taylor, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Produce Moms®. “They are a superfood for brain and gut health and can even improve your mood!”

Due to Naturipe’s Globally Local™ program, the company has family growers across the U.S. and around the globe that provide high-quality product during their season. This program enables Naturipe to offer delicious berries to shoppers year-round.

With wonderful versatility and ample supplies, now is a great time to add blueberries to your shelves to capture consumer dollars throughout the holiday season.
