Sunview Marketing International Ramps Up for 2022 California Table Grape Season; Mitch Wetzel Shares

MCFARLAND, CA - 2022 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for all of the grapes from Sunview Marketing International. I recently got in touch with the company for an update and learned that this year’s grape season outlook is looking very strong despite ongoing supply chain pressures.

Mitch Wetzel, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Sunview Marketing International“Every year presents unique challenges and opportunities. Water has been and will continue to be an issue in California. This year, we anticipate continued labor and cost pressures, but we are confident that Sunview’s family farms’ quality and consistency will once again shine in the marketplace,” says Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mitch Wetzel.

In the off-season, Sunview has been linking up with customers worldwide, all of whom communicated great excitement for the California season. And, with relatively typical winter weather conditions, Sunview is looking forward to a great harvest.

“During our meetings and discussions with customers, one of Sunview’s aspects that they value highly is our consistency,” Mitch adds. “We will have promotable volumes of conventional and organic grapes throughout the season.”

Sunview kicks off California’s Central Valley grape season with Flame, Sugraone, and Summer Royal varieties. By the end of July, the company begins shipping the exclusive Sparkle™, Rosa®, Stella Bella®, and Crown® varieties. The grower’s mid-season grapes are proprietary Gem® and Sorella Bella™, and new this year are the Sweet Bella® grapes. The exclusive Sweet Carnival™ variety starts in early September and runs through mid-December.

Building off the success of its California Classic™ campaign, Sunview will be introducing a fresh California-grown strawberry-flavored grape and a new brand to be unveiled soon. Mitch expects these new grapes to be available with some volumes starting this season and more on the horizon.

“Summertime and sunshine mean it’s California grape season,” Mitch notes. “We’re excited for our customers around the globe to be able to enjoy summer fun and delicious summertime grapes.”

Family-owned for more than 70 years, Sunview aims to be Your Single Source™ of supply of the highest quality table grapes from California’s Central Valley. The company has been farming conventional and organic table grapes for consumers worldwide for over three generations.

With anticipation mounting for this upcoming season, be sure to have those purchase orders set as soon as possible to guarantee a consistent supply of fresh California table grapes.
