Westfalia Fruit International Subsidiary Names Hans Eben as New Chief Executive Officer
SANTIAGO, CHILE - A new Chief is set to take the helm at Westfalia Fruit International’s fully owned subsidiary Agricom. Hans Eben will be succeeding Rodrigo Barros, the founder of Agricom, who has retired after four decades at the helm of this Chilean agribusiness.
“I’m excited to be contributing towards the wellbeing of millions of people around the world with the sustainably grown, nutritious, and colorful products of the Westfalia family,” stated Eben in a recent press release. He will be based at Agricom’s Santiago headquarters.
In his new role, Eben will be managing all aspects of the Agricom business in Chile, providing strategic, financial, operational, and stakeholder support to ensure the sustainability, profitability, and further advancement of the business.
For the past 18 years, Eben has worked in various leadership positions with Unilever. Throughout this tenure, he has worked with manufacturing plants and operations. His most recent role was as Country Manager for Unilever in Chile. Prior to that, Eben served as Unilever Country Manager in Peru as well as Marketing Director for Unilever in Latin America. Early in his career, the press release explained, Eben was based in the U.K. where he was Vice President of the Unilever Marketing Academy.
