ORANGE COUNTY, CA - Zespri™ is shaking things up in the produce aisle and is asking retailers and consumers to help in the undertaking. With its Go Sweet. Be Bold national contest, the kiwifruit provider is encouraging shoppers to break away from the mundane by adding SunGold™ kiwifruits to their meals. To encourage them, Zespri is offering prizes to drive in-store purchases.

“Building large, eye-catching displays of Zespri SunGold during the contest period will help shoppers easily find our kiwifruit,” explained Jeanne Wilson, Head of Marketing for the North American market. “Retailers can increase their sales more than 200 percent by placing our display units in their produce section.”

To promote the contest at retail, Zespri is providing free POS header cards that can attach to shipper displays and feature graphics from the Go Sweet. Be Bold. campaign. According to a release, the header cards come in both small and large sizes and can easily clip to shippers, end caps, and shelves, and include a QR code that allows consumers to quickly scan for contest details.

The contest kicked off June 1 and runs through September 26. Zespri is encouraging retailers to promote the event through their social media channels, as the supplier is working with influencers to post organic content to reach their followers and boost impressions. Zespri is also partnering with mindbodygreen, a lifestyle media brand, to promote the contest through its influencers and social channels.
