MILPITAS, CA - The California-based team at ANUK has seen a lot of sun this winter, and I can’t help but yearn for the sweet taste of citrus. My heart was stolen by the Sumo Citrus® variety a few years ago, so it was great to catch up with the team at AC Brands and hear about its dynamic season. To see what all retailers can expect, I connected with Ron Steele, Vice President of Sales.

Ron Steele, Vice President of Sales, AC Brands“Our season kicks off in January, with limited shipping beginning January 4 out of California’s Central Valley,” Ron told me. “Along with Sumo Citrus, our Suntreat brand also produces other citrus commodities such as California Navels, Cara Caras, Mandarins, and Lee Novas.”

Ron explained that Sumo Citrus is notoriously difficult to grow, but the company’s farmers are dedicated to creating a premium supply. They always make sure that AC Brands is producing the highest eating quality fruit that its customers have grown to love through the years.
