California Avocado Commission Partners With Six New Brand Advocates

IRVINE, CA - If you’ve noticed an abundance of avocado recipes making their debut on various social media platforms lately, it is no coincidence. California Avocado Commission (CAC) is pushing California-grown avocados further into the spotlight and has tapped six popular bloggers for its Living Well Brand Advocates 2021 program.

With the help of these new partners, CAC will augment its online consumer reach, letting shoppers know that California avocados are in season via popular social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest, where the brand advocates showcase their recipes.

“California Avocado Commission marketing, including our brand advocate program, fosters awareness and sales,” said DeLyser. “IRI/Freshlook data confirms that the California avocado season is a fundamental driver of avocado category growth, and it is driven by greater sales velocity during our season.”

The Commission’s Living Well Brand Advocates program features a holistic nutritionist and wellness educator, four registered dietitians, and a popular recipe developer, according to a press release. This season, each of the influencers is developing content around a lifestyle trend that aligns with their area of expertise, while highlighting California avocado messaging and the nutrition benefits of avocados and differentiating California avocados from those from other countries.

Further shining the spotlight on California-grown avocados, CAC also held an online cooking class with celebrity chef Brian Malarkey, which promoted the official kickoff of California avocado season back in March.
