California Citrus Mutual Announces Promotion of Alyssa Houtby to Senior Director of Federal Affairs; Casey Creamer Comments
EXETER, CA - We recently received word from the California Citrus Mutual (CCM) that the organization has promoted a key leader within its ranks. Alyssa Houtby, the former Director of Government Affairs who focuses on California legislative affairs, has been promoted to Senior Director, Federal Affairs.
In her new position, Houtby will turn her attention to legislative and regulatory efforts at the federal level, working in tandem with President and Chief Executive Officer Casey Creamer and the organization's Washington D.C.-based lobby firm, The Russell Group. According to a press release, Houtby will work to expand trading relationships and closely monitor imported citrus to help enhance opportunities for California-based citrus growers.
She reportedly began her career with CCM in December of 2011 shortly after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Additionally, Houtby is a graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Program, Class 49.
Creamer discussed his excitement surrounding this promotion in the recently released press statement.
"Over the last ten years, Alyssa has been a steady presence here at CCM and has been integral to the success of the organization," said Creamer. “Alyssa is talented, committed, and hard-working; attributes that will continue to lead her to continued success in the future.
