California Giant Berry Farms Shows Support for Agricultural Education
In cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture and the agricultural community itself, special license plates that promote California agriculture have been designed as a purchase options for all vehicles. The plates directly benefit the Future Farmers of America Foundation which receives a percentage of every license plate fee.
California Giant Berry farms has jumped on board to support the cause: all company vehicles will receive new plates this week. The company is encouraging other industry members to support the program as well. President and CEO Bill Moncovich’s vehicle was the first to sport the new license plates, which coincidentally included the word ‘raz’… fitting given this company’s portfolio.
The Department of Food and Agriculture reported that funds collected through their sales benefit youth leadership development, career awareness and training activities mainly serving secondary students enrolled in state-adopted agricultural education programs throughout California.The license palate design portrays a sunrise over a fertile green field. Above the field are the words "Food, Fiber, Fuel, Flora." Along the bottom of the plate runs the word agriculture in red block letters.
