Columbine Vineyards Introduces New Proprietary Milano Grape
Columbine Vineyards is continuing to provide the industry with high quality table grapes again this year as the California growing regions get underway. To enhance the company’s proprietary program that includes Holiday® and Black Globe® varieties, Columbine has introduced the new proprietary green seedless Milano® grape.

“We have an extensive program that allows us to work with our customers to satisfy their needs, consisting of a full product mix of red, green, and black varieties, available from July through December,” Lauren Olcott tells AndNowUKnow.
In addition, Columbine Vineyards has been sustainably farming since 1926 and is continuing to implement and maintain existing sustainable agricultural practices.
"To add to our existing sustainability practices, this year we have revamped our packaging to reduce our plastic waste,” Olcott continues.
The companies program has grown in the past year due to an increase of volume, along with an aggressive marketing plan focusing on consumer interaction through social media and brand awareness to drive repeat sales.

In addition, Columbine is nearing completion of its now state-of-the-art cold storage facility. M. Caratan Inc. broke ground December 12, 2012 and expects to complete construction of the facility by June 2014. It will serve as a model of energy efficiency, safety and sustainability.
