Costco Sales Up for July
While Costco has failed to meet analysts' expectations, its still looking up. The company has reported financial results for January, highlighted by an increase in sales.
Net sales rose by 7% from $7.36 billion to $7.87 billion and comparable sales. For the four-week period, changes in gasoline prices had a positive impact on comparable sales while foreign exchange rates had a negative impact on comparable sales.
Costco currently operates 632 warehouses, according to a press release, including 451 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 85 in Canada, 33 in Mexico, 25 in the United Kingdom, 17 in Japan, nine in Taiwan, nine in Korea and three in Australia.
