MINNETONKA, MN - Creation Gardens, a foodservice distributor also known by its trade name, What Chefs Want, has acquired Freshpack Produce. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Creation Gardens currently distributes throughout the Midwest and Southeast. With its acquisition of Colorado-based Freshpack, it stands to reason the distributor is setting its eyes further West.

According to a press release, Tonka Bay Equity Partners purchased Freshpack in 2010. Its decision to sell the business to Creation Gardens aligned with its desire to grow value-added distribution companies.
