LOS ANGELES, CA - Thirsty? I am, especially after writing about avocado beer! Last Sunday, the 4th annual Avocado Festival took place at Angel City Brewery where the Avocado Ale remains one of the company’s most popular.

What better way to celebrate the beer than with Temecula, California-based Eco Farms, which supplied about 120 lbs. worth of fresh avocados to make the Avocado Ale? Also in that ingredient mix were avocado honey, cilantro, and lime.

Paired with the tacos, guacamole, and other food items sold at the event, the day was a hit, according to a press release.

Gahl Crane, Eco Farms’ Sales Director, said that the attendees were very passionate about avocados and it was great to participate in such an avocado-centric event like this.

“We gave out Avocado Slicers, recipe booklets, Eco Farms branded stress balls, as well as Eco Farms branded Avocados,” Gahl said. “Eco Farms is happy to partner with businesses like Angel City brewery who are dedicated to producing delicious products while also working hard to raise money to help those in need.”

All funds from Eco Farms avocado sales were donated to a local non-profit, The Ron Finley Project, that seeks to help people to grow their own fruits and vegetables through the construction of community gardens throughout Los Angeles.

“Giving children the resources and knowledge to grow their own food sets them up for a lifelong love of fresh fruit and vegetables and The Ron Finley Project is dedicated to that cause,” Gahl added.

Eco Farms also welcomed attendees who wanted to learn about the growing, distributing, and many versatile uses of consuming avocados. In addition, Angel City Brewery donated $1.00 from every pint of Avocado Ale sold to the Ron Finely project.

If you are not thirsty yet, you should be.
