MIAMI, FL - Besides beautiful beaches, nightlife, and gators, consumers in South Florida can now find Kroger's delivery service. Recently, the retailer announced that it was expanding the growing program to the region with the help of its new spoke facility and 90 newly hired associates.

Kroger's new 60,000-square-foot spoke facility will work in conjunction with its Groveland, Florida, fulfillment center, a release explained. Products from all orders will be picked at peak freshness from the Groveland facility, and associates will assemble and place them in climate-controlled vehicles that will travel to Miami, Florida.

The delivery program will serve communities between Port St. Lucie and Homestead and on both the east and west sides of I-95. Once the orders arrive in Miami, they will be checked and placed on refrigerated delivery trucks that deliver directly to customers' doors, ensuring cold and frozen products remain at the perfect temperature.

This expansion to South Florida marks an extension of Kroger's partnership with Ocado Group, which was established in 2018. Together, the companies use artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, and automation to bolster the retailer's services.

Kroger currently operates customer fulfillment centers in Monroe, Ohio; Groveland, Florida; Forest Park, Georgia (Atlanta); Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; Dallas, Texas; Romulus, Michigan (Detroit); and Aurora, Colorado, with additional customer fulfillment centers slated for California; Frederick, Maryland; Phoenix, Arizona; Cleveland, Ohio; Charlotte, North Carolina; as well as South Florida and the Northeast.
