Lipman Opens New Texas Packing Facility
Lipman is expanding its geographic footprint with the opening of a new 150,000 square foot packing and repacking center in Dallas, Texas. The facility consolidates the operation from three separate locations and will directly accommodate demand from customers in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Arkansas, according to a press release.
“This location brings Lipman’s entire Dallas team together – from our drivers to our sales force and office personnel – allowing us to communicate and work more efficiently to fulfill customers’ needs,” said Brett Combs, General Manager overseeing Lipman’s Dallas facility.
The facility includes several rooms designed for ripening bananas and avocados, cross-docking, storage, and offices for key personnel. It houses more than 140 employees.
“The opening of this facility allows us to better accommodate our diverse range of customers and deliver the high-quality produce they’ve come to expect from Lipman,” added Combs.
