Lipman Rounds Out Diversity with Red and Gold Potatoes
IMMOKALEE, FL - Lipman Produce is bringing diversity to its vegetables with red and gold potatoes.
The company will begin harvesting the Florida spuds on the 20th of this month and begin shipping out the product three days later.
“Fresh from Florida, our red and gold potatoes are available to purchase for a 10-week period from the middle of February through April with excellent quality and promotable volumes,” the company stated.
The potatoes will be available in bulk totes, 50 pound boxes and bags, as well as master bags available in 15, 10, 5, and 3 pound increments.
Lipman is currently expanding its tomatoes program and encourages the marriage of the potatoes as the “taters” to its ‘Taters and Maters’ campaign. That the potatoes can be consumed with the skin adds to their nutritional value, appealing to consumers from a health-conscious aspect.
