SpartanNash Announces Promotion of Adrienne Chance to Senior Vice President, Communications; Tony Sarsam Comments
GRAND RAPIDS, MI - After nearly a year of creating new opportunities for growth for the company, a talented leader has just been promoted within SpartanNash’s executive ring. Announcing changes to its ranks, the company has revealed the promotion of Adrienne Chance to Senior Vice President, Communications.
Chance joined SpartanNash in April 2021 as Vice President of Communications. She currently leads the vision, strategy, and implementation of the company’s approach to purpose-driven internal and external communications, as noted in a press release, in addition to serving as Executive Director of the SpartanNash Foundation.
Before her time with SpartanNash, Chance held the title of Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Dallas-based Borden Dairy Company. In 2017, she was recognized as a Top Woman in PR by PR News for her role as Director of Corporate Communications for Topgolf Entertainment Group. In 2021, she was honored as a “40 Under 40” leader by the Public Relations Society of America’s Dallas chapter and as a “Woman of Influence.”
Chance has played an integral role in SpartanNash’s growth and development, helping to lead the implementation and rollout of its new corporate identity, Our Winning Recipe™. She has also supported the retailer’s Board of Directors to develop a more robust strategy for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives; established new channels for communication for Associates, business partners, and other key stakeholders; and led fundraising and disaster response for the company’s community partners, as noted in the release.

In addition to her vast industry experience, Chance is also a graduate of the University of Florida.
