Verdant™ Technologies Expands HarvestHold Fresh® Label With 18 Newly Approved Crops



DENVER, CO - Eighteen new crops are being added to Verdant Technologies’ repertoire following approval from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), expanding its HarvestHold Fresh® label. The company has received U.S. state approvals for HarvestHold Fresh in 49 states and anticipates approval in California before this year is up.

In addition to apricot, broccoli, grapes, melons, nectarine, peach, persimmon, plum, and tomato, which were approved by the EPA in September 2021, the latest crops for use with HarvestHold Fresh will include several more fruits and vegetables.

Following EPA approval, Verdant™ Technologies has added 18 new crops to its repertoire, thereby expanding its HarvestHold Fresh® label

  • Sweet corn

The expanded label also includes flexibility for recycling HarvestHold Fresh sheets after application.

Providing a simple and flexible post-harvest delivery method, HarvestHold Fresh is an innovative shelf-life extension solution. According to a press release, its breakthrough delivery method of industry-standard 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) significantly reduces waste in the perishable produce supply chain and offers unmatched storability and portability.
