Well-Pict Moves to Oxnard Ahead of Schedule
Well-Pict Berries’ premium, proprietary strawberries are coming to a close in its Watsonville fields as it prepares to transition ahead of schedule to its Oxnard fields by the end of September, according to a press release.
“We’re expecting to have shippable fruit by the end of September,” said Dan Crowley, VP of Sales and Marketing. “The incredible weather continues to push color and flavor in Watsonville, which allows us to move into Oxnard a little earlier.”
Crowley also reports that the raspberry crops in Watsonville have been outstanding, with a volume and excellent quality that have allowed Well-Pict to expand its customer base.
