Church Brothers' Ernst van Eeghen Talks CPMA
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA - It’s that time of year again, time to trek up to the great white north for Canada’s largest produce jamboree. The Canadian Produce Marketing Association’s (CPMA) annual Convention and Trade Show is an event that gathers the movers and shakers of the produce industry from across the globe. Among the myriad of growers at the convention will be Church Brothers Farms, on hand to showcase its greens and connect with conference-goers. Vice President, Business Development, Ernst van Eeghen was on hand to chat about what Church Brothers Farms expects from this year’s CPMA conference.
“We take the CPMA opportunity to focus and connect with our Canadian customers and their unique needs,” said Ernst.
You can bet that Church Brothers will be showing off its very best, and will be highlighting—for the first time ever at CPMA—its newly acquired Green Giant Fresh commodity program. The company announced its acquisition of the commodity vegetable business of Growers Express, LLC, and a licensing agreement to extend the Green Giant Fresh brand to new varieties in January, according to a Church Brothers blog post. The acquisition includes the growing, harvesting, and selling of field-packed vegetable commodities that are currently branded under the Growers Express' Green Giant Fresh license.
With all its Canadian customer base in one place, Church Brothers relishes the chance to hear directly back from its base regarding current projects and items, as well as what more the company can do to help its retail partners.
“We look forward to connecting with Canadian retailers with our new branding opportunity," Ernst said.
The CPMA Convention and Trade Show takes place in Montreal, Canada, from April 2-4, and you can pop in to see what Church Brothers is offering at booth #516.
