According to a press release, the Better Break line emerged after the Del Monte Fresh Produce team uncovered data showcasing a growing desire among millennials (60 percent of older millennials and 55 percent of younger millennials) to incorporate more produce during lunch. In response, Del Monte Fresh Produce is not only offering up an easy solution to the aforementioned problem, but is also adding a few additional perks, like convenience, to go that extra mile for consumers.

Available with an SRP of $3.99 for each single-serve 7 oz package, Del Monte Fresh Produce’s Better Break line is breaking into produce aisles this summer at retailers nationwide

Specifically, the line is designed to minimize the prep time that comes along with peeling, seeding, and cutting fresh produce. In addition, the heat-and-eat format (ready in just three minutes!) and microwave-safe, BPA-free packaging also adds an extra, extra layer of convenience to the healthful lunch or snack option, which comes in the following three flavors:

  • Spicy Pomodoro, made with kohlrabi linguine and chunky, spicy chipotle pepper tomato sauce
  • Zesty Green Chile, with kohlrabi, cauliflower, kale, chickpea, and bell peppers tossed in a tangy green chile sauce
  • Summer Corn, with cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potato, kale, and corn sauce with roasted corn and bell pepper

The line is perfect for those consumers looking for new ways to transform mealtime into produce time—the Better Break products feature a whole host of fresh vegetables and contain only 130 calories or less per serving. The line also offers both vegetarian and plant-based options, each boasting 4 grams of protein per serving.
