Florida Governor Rick Scott Appoints Lipman's Jaime Weisinger to the Governing Board of South Florida Water Management District



IMMOKALEE, FL - One of Lipman Family Farms’ own will be joining the state of Florida’s water management team, representing the Southwest region of the produce-centric state. Florida Governor Rick Scott recently appointed the company’s Director of Community Relations and Government Relations, Jaime Weisinger, to the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). 

Jaime Weisinger, Director of Community Relations and Government Relations, Lipman“It is an honor to be appointed to the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District,” said Jaime, a lifelong resident of South Florida. “I intend to do everything I can to fulfill the governor’s goal of being a good steward of South Florida’s water systems, so that Floridians can have a safe and abundant supply of clean water for generations to come.” 

According to a press release, Weisinger will now represent Florida’s district seven, which includes Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, Highlands, Glades, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, and Polk counties. Weisinger will serve a four-year term on the board, taking the role left by Mitchel Hutchcraft of King Ranch.

Weisinger is currently located in Fort Myers, the company said, and received his Bachelor’s degree from Boston University. Lipman Family Farms is headquartered in Collier County, with farm and facility locations in almost every county within the SFWMD operating district.
