Frieda's Wins PMA Award
Los Alamitos, CA-
Frieda’s Specialty Produce was awarded with the Best of Show 2012 Inline Booth Award at this year’s PMA Fresh Summit.
Judges declared Frieda’s “An exciting booth all around –with vibrant colors, great benefit messaging and some of the best staff judges have ever seen.”

Frieda’s booth had a simple and modern style with a bright color scheme and high impact photography. A Farmers Market wall celebrated their most unique and eye-catching produce. Frieda’s also launched their newest product, the Stokes Purple® Sweet Potato now available in retail stores around the country.
“We were thrilled to be awarded Best in Show at Fresh Summit this year,” stated Alex Jackson, Promotions Manager for Frieda’s. “It’s an honor to be acknowledged for the effort we put into this industry event.” Alex Jackson is the daughter of Frieda’s President Karen Caplan and granddaughter of company founder Frieda. Alex is the third generation of family to work at Frieda’s. And this was the first year she was responsible for Frieda’s PMA trade show booth.
There were more than 1,000 exhibitors at Fresh Summit, with displays that ranged from simple to state-of-the-art island booths that were all anonymously judged. Babe Farms, Zola Fruits of the World and Brad’s Raw Foods were finalists for the Inline Booth Category. For Island Booths, Chestnut Hills Farms won first place and finalists included Driscoll’s, Duda Farm Fresh Foods and Taylor Farms.
