The GIANT Company Announces Upcoming Opening of New Store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
CARLISLE, PA - The GIANT Company is expanding its reach to bring a fresh array of products to consumers on the East Coast, as the retail chain has announced its newest store in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, region is set to open on November 12. Grocery veteran Sabita Singh will bring nearly 25 years of experience to her role as Store Manager.
“This store deepens The GIANT Company’s commitment to serving today’s busy families within the City of Philadelphia, saving them money and time for what matters most,” said Singh. “From our farm-fresh produce to the global flavors across the store, there’s something for every table. No matter how customers choose to shop with us, in-store or online, we’re simplifying the grocery experience so they can then spend more time connecting with family over a meal.”
The new 67,000-square-foot store will operate seven days a week and employ approximately 150 full- and part-time team members, according to a press release.
The new store in Cottman will feature GIANT’s signature fresh departments with expanded product variety and new offerings. Inside the new location, shoppers will find a vast selection of farm-fresh garden produce with more than 350 fresh items including a variety of organic selections, locally grown produce, in-store fresh-cut fruits and vegetables, and expanded plant-based offerings. The new store will also include a Saladworks where customers can enjoy customizable salads, signature salads, wraps, grain bowls, and soup featuring more than 60 fresh ingredients.
In addition, GIANT’s new store will be equipped with GIANT Direct, which allows busy shoppers to order their groceries online for easy curbside pick-up or delivery. The store will also host The GIANT Company’s broadest array of global flavors, with new and expanded brands to meet consumer demand for Kosher, Halal, and other ethnic foods throughout all departments of the store.
