G&R Farms Announces Record Year of Donations in 2022; Blake Dasher Shares
GLENVILLE, GA - It warms our hearts here at AndNowUKnow to say that 2022 was a record-breaking year for G&R Farms when it came to charitable contributions. During the months of November and December alone, the supplier brought in $8,000 with the help of three regional retail operators as part of its third annual Season of Giving.
“We are proud to have continued this program in 2022. Giving back is at the core of who we are at G&R Farms, and we’re grateful to have retail partners who feel the same,” commented Blake Dasher, Chief Executive Officer of G&R Farms. “Concern over food affordability is rampant in our country, with Feeding America reporting 34 million people in the U.S. currently experiencing food insecurity, reaching 100 percent of U.S. counties. That is an incredible burden that we are honored to help alleviate in any way we can.”
G&R Farms worked with participating retailers who chose their charity or food bank partner within their communities, a release stated. The grower then donated a portion of the proceeds from all Peruvian onions sold during the promotional period at each retail location.
Overall, the company raised over $120,000 during the Season of Giving and its spring/summer Growing America’s Farmers campaign. These funds will support community food organizations and provide grants and scholarships for future agriculture professionals.
“2022 was a record-breaking charitable year for us. We’ve already started planning for our 2023 charitable projects, and we’re looking to break records again,” added Dasher.
Three cheers for G&R Farms and its ongoing charitable work!
