WASHINGTON, DC & NEWARK, DE - Pack your bags, because Mexico awaits! The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) has announced the continuation of the Fresh Connections Mexico event series, previously held by Produce Marketing Association (PMA) before the two associations merged earlier this year. The organization will gather industry leaders in Guadalajara, Mexico, on June 22 and 23, 2022, at the Mexico Conference.

The conference will bring together members from across the fresh produce supply chain, including producers, distributors, exporters, buyers, technology suppliers, retailers, and more. The event will provide key opportunities for those who are interested in exploring the most pressing issues for the industry, according to a press release. Leaders in sustainability, food safety, and transportation will provide insight and experts from Euromonitor will present on new markets. During the closing session, attendees will explore the retail trends currently shaping the industry.

Karla Wheelock, social entrepreneur, lecturer, and mountaineer who summited Everest, will be the keynote speaker, discussing human behavior in both personal and business life.

This year’s event will also include the Business Round Tables, where Mexican growers will be able to hold 15-minute meetings with United States, Canadian, and Mexican buyers. Some buyers confirmed to attend the event include: Baldor, Calimax, Interfresh, Lakeside, Mission, Rancho Markets, United Natural Foods, Inc. Produce, Vesta Foodservice, Walmart – Mexico and Central America, and more.
