Kroger Names Ken DeLuca Michigan Division President



CINCINNATI, OH - The current Vice President of Operations for Kroger’s Dillons division, Ken DeLuca, is rising in the ranks, with the retailer announcing his promotion to President of the Michigan division, effective August 1. He will succeed Scott Hays, who was also promoted earlier this month and will be taking on the President of the Cincinnati/Dayton division position.

Ken DeLuca, President, Michigan, KrogerDeLuca began his Kroger career in the Michigan division in 1988 as a Store Clerk. After graduating from Wayne State University in Detroit, DeLuca underwent Kroger’s management training program in 1990. Following his completion of the program, he went on to hold various leadership positions in the Michigan division, including Store Manager, Grocery Coordinator, Category Management, Labor Relations Manager, Human Resources Director, and Operations District Manager, according to a press release.

DeLuca left the Michigan division in 2004, moving over to the Columbus division, where he took on the Operations District Manager role. In 2005, he was promoted to Retail Operations Vice President for the Dillons Division, and then was promoted again in 2008 to Vice President of Merchandizing and in 2018 to his current position.
