Mucci Farms' Emily Murracas Shares Details of Upcoming Women's Fresh Perspectives Conference

SANTA ANA PUEBLO, NM - As the sun rises on New Mexico this September 12, a powerful female force will be waking to take on a day full of connection and kinship at the Women’s Fresh Perspectives Conference (WFPC). Mucci Farms’ Emily Murracas, Director of Marketing, is one leader who will be in attendance, and I recently had the chance to hear her pre-conference thoughts.

Emily Murracas, Director of Marketing, Mucci Farms“Women’s Fresh Perspectives contributes to the strong female voices across the fresh produce industry today because the conference gives you direct access to women who hold numerous leadership roles in fresh produce,” she told me. “The accessibility and attendees’ willingness to share their experiences is inspirational and helpful in building the confidence of newer women in produce that may feel intimidated by the demographics in the industry.”

Running through September 14, the WFPC not only welcomes the women of the industry to common ground, but invites them to share their experiences, goals, and visions as they navigate the challenges of being a female leader in fresh produce. After all, we are truly all in this together.

“The WFPC does a fantastic job of creating an environment that illustrates the quantity and quality of women in all areas of the industry. This event is important for elevating the voices of women in produce because it gives us a first-hand opportunity to engage with our peers and hear of their successes, challenges, and solutions,” Emily said. “I learn so much from all the conversations, workshops, and table discussions, and I always return to Mucci Farms with an added element of confidence and motivation.”

Motivation, it seems, is a consistent result of this conference. Female leaders take to the supply chain with new ideas and the support of a diverse network of women at their back. Our shared experience gives us power, and Emily relayed that she always comes away from this conference with a renewed sense of inspiration.

At a previous Women's Fresh Perspectives Conference, Emily Murracas linked up with guest speaker and author of "Girl, Stop Apologizing" Rachel Hollis

“I always look forward to the speakers because there are always big lessons I can implement in my role,” she continued. “Every speaker I’ve had the pleasure of hearing at the WFPC has given me some key takeaways that I may not have considered about the ever-changing work culture and needs of my team and our organization at large. Additionally, I always look forward to meeting new women in the industry as well as strengthening relationships with those I already know.”

Stay tuned for additional event coverage as ANUK brings you more voices of the industry.
